 Happy Birthday, William Shakespeare!

Celebrating the Bard of England, we performed various poems, sonnets, segments of plays and quotes of William Shakespeare, and tried to decipher the underlying meaning behind those intense writings of the Poet of poets! Great light was shed on the timelessness of William, knowing that many generations to come will most certainly carry on the name Shakespeare. Poet Craig even wrote a poem about the Shakespeare meeting right on the spot, which he recited at the end, and this poem intends to take the name Shakespeare to the rest of the Universe. A marvelous birthday celebration indeed, with a tender surprise of paintings of William and Mary by artist Aina – encapsulating the ‘Timeless Date’ between these two love-poetry birds!

Attendance: 15

Performing Poets: 13

You are what you eat, so it was nice getting to know our members' varied diet and how food can connect with our experiences and thinking. A few poems were on calories, leading to the new maxim "Every little counts"...surely Tesco will agree!
Nevertheless, we ate lots of chocolates...since poetry inspiration may come from food!!
